• Players in AYSO or non-club can tryout anytime.

• Once players are registered, coaches will invite players to join the team.

• Deposit payment and registration must be fully completed to be assigned to the team.

Updates to Age Group Formation

Important Information on New Age Group Alignment and Player Placement

The 2026/27 Season marks an important update to our player age group structure.

At Culture FC, our mission has always been clear: to provide the technical tools, tactical intelligence, and environment players need to become complete footballers. Part of that mission is adapting to the landscape of US Soccer to ensure our players are in the best position to succeed.

What is Changing? US Soccer and major governing bodies (US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer) are adjusting the age group registration cycle.

• Current System: Birth Year (Jan 1 – Dec 31)

• New System: School Year (Aug 1 – July 31)

Why the Shift? This change is about more than just dates on a calendar; it is about aligning the social and developmental pathways of our players.

1. Removing the "Trapped" Player: By aligning soccer ages with school grades, we eliminate the gap where 8th graders are forced to play against high schoolers, or high school seniors are left without a team in the spring.

2. Chemistry & Cohesion: Playing with school-grade peers fosters stronger team chemistry and allows players to develop alongside the friends they see in the classroom, strengthening the community bond that is central to Culture FC.

3. Growth: This alignment supports the "whole player"—balancing academic pressures and athletic commitments becomes more manageable when teammates are on the same academic timeline.

The Culture FC Commitment While the brackets may shift, our standard does not. We will manage this transition with a detailed evaluation process to ensure every player is placed on a roster that challenges them appropriately.
